1st Annual Pie Festival Parc-Extension Montreal-2006

Once again National Bangladeshi-Canadian Council (NBCC) and Journal Dhaka Post partnering with PEYO and Loisirs du Parc organize 1st annual pie festival-2006. Parc-Extension most famous multicultural place embrace itself for the most famous South Asian traditional pie festival  event. More than 500 guests show up at the event on Saturday, 4th November at 419 St-Roch cafeteria for the highly acclaimed traditional mix of music, verities of colorful pies, food, history and culture that make up the Festival. Hailed as one of the biggest and most exciting cross cultural parties.
To create an environment of traditional culture special measures were taken. The theme of the occasion was focus­ing the rtadition of Bangladeshi culture.
The guests relish themselves with the Bangladeshi delicacy of pies like Bapa, Pati Shapta, Ful, Bibikhana, Pakon, Mug Pakon, Jilmili, Puli etc. and sweets.
The guests enjoyed different pithas and sweets brought from different districts .

Traditional Bangladeshi cultural performance dance , song, poem include 'Lalon' film enchanted the guests. Special attraction of the evening was a best pie maker "Award" which owned by Hasina Bagum, Farida Aktar and Roji Bagum.
