এইচএসসির ইংরেজি দ্বিতীয় পত্র : প্রশ্ন নম্বর-১৪

সুপ্রিয় এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার্থী বন্ধুরা, শুভেচ্ছা নিয়ো। আজ তোমাদের ইংরেজি দ্বিতীয় পত্রের প্রশ্ন নম্বর-১৪ থেকে আরো দু’টি Report Writing নিয়ে আলোচনা করব। Report Writing-এর ক্ষেত্রে  বেশি নম্বর পেতে প্রতিবেদনের শুরুতে প্রতিবেদকের নাম বা প্রতিবেদক কথাটি লিখতে হবে। এ ছাড়া অবশ্যই তারিখ লিখতে হবে।

Prize Giving Ceremony Held at Adamjee Cantonment College

Staff Reporter, Dhaka, 5 May : The annual prize giving ceremony of Adamjee Cantonment College was held on 4 May 2020 at 4 pm in the college campus. The college was decorated colourfully with banners and festoons on the occasion.

A stage was set up in the playground. It was also beautifully decorated. Prizes were neatly arranged on a table in the dais. A lot of people including guardians, students, respectable people of the society were present. The Army Chief, Rafiqul Islam was the chief guest. He arrived the college campus at 4 pm. The formal ceremony began with the hoisting of national flag. Then a student from class XII recited from the Holy Quran. The Vice principal read out the annual report of the college. Then the students of the college presented a colourful marchpast. All present there enjoyed it. Then the prize giving ceremony took place. The vice-principal called the names of the winners and  the chief guest gave away the prizes among the winners.

Moeen became champion among the male participants and Mila became champion among the female participants. Next the chief guest delivered his valuable speech focusing on the importance of education and sports. The function ended at 6 pm with a note of thanks from the Principal.

A Terrible Road Accident in Dhaka-Aricha Highway

Somin Hossain, Dhaka: 8 May: A serious road accident took place yesterday at Dhaka Aricha road at about 5 am. The accident took place for the collision between a passenger bus and a truck.

The bus was full of passengers all going to Bogra to celebrate the Eid festival with their  families. So the bus was fully packed with passengers. At least 50 people died including the drivers. Besides almost 40 people were seriously injured. The people who survived said that it was dense fog and the driver of the bus was running it at a great speed. Suddenly a tråck came from the opposite side. The driver of the bus could not control it. As a result the bus was collided with the truck. Soon after the accident, a lot of people from the neighborhood rushed to the spot and helped to rescue the people trapped in the bus. Finding the victim dead and lying in a pool of  blood, people became agitated. Consequently, the traffic in the road stopped for several hours.The air of the incident area was filled with cries and groaning. The Police arived the spot after the incident and sent the injured to hospital and clinics. The dead bodies were given to their family members.

The Police also filed a case to Nabinagar Police Station. The District Commissioner visited the spot and assured to help the affected people.
