সুপ্রিয় ২০২১ সালের এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার্থী বন্ধুরা, শুভেচ্ছা নিয়ো। আজ তোমাদের ইংরেজি দ্বিতীয় পত্রের প্রশ্ন নম্বর-১৬ থেকে আরো ১টি Composition Writing নিয়ে আলোচনা করব। বোর্ড পরীক্ষায় Science বিষয়ক কোনো Composition  আসলে তোমরা সেটির উত্তর করার চেষ্টা করবে। কেননা এরূপ Composition উত্তর করলে বেশি নম্বর পাওয়া যায়।

Wonders of Science/Blessings of Science

In the beginning of civilization, man was helpless, uncivilized and inhuman. Man was totally dependent on nature for his survival. By the help of science man has overcome his limitations. Science helps man produce more crops what was impossible in the past. Science has conquered many diseases which were incurable in the past. Man has landed on the moon which was once an object of imagination. Science has removed the darkness of ignorance and man has now become the ruler of the whole universe. All these have become possible by the power of science. In every sphere of our life we feel the profound influence of science. Science has invented many things that have decorated and enriched our life. Modern age is truly called the age of science. We find the touch of science in every day of our life.

The first wonder of science is electricity. It has brought a drastic change in human life. It is a great source of power and energy. It helps us to use many electric goods such as electric light, electric fan, refrigerator, electric iron, motor etc. It also helps us for irrigation. Modern civilization can be called the creation of electricity.

Television is a wonderful invention of science. In the television we not only see the programs but also hear them. It is the most popular source of entertainment today. Television has brought the whole world into our drawing rooms. We come to know what is happening in the world by watching news bulletins. Besides, we can enjoy music, dances, dramas, cinemas, sports and games on television.

Computer is the most powerful invention of science. It has changed our life radically. It has lessened our work load. It can solve any problem in a moment. It can solve any mathematical problem and store a lot of data. It can do any calculation within a second which hundreds of people will need years to complete. We can use internet by the help of computer. It plays an important role in the filed of education, communication, medical science, trade and business.

Telephone is another blessing of modern science. It helps man communicate with his desired person sitting in any corner of the world. The invention of mobile phone has added new dimension in the field of communication. It is a small telephone that can be carried in hand or pocket. By using a mobile phone we can communicate with a person walking in the street or traveling in the bus or staying very far from home. At present internet can be used in the mobile phone. So we can say that the whole world now is in man’s hand.

We find the impact of science in every step of life. The inventions of railways, airplanes, steamers, motor cars have enabled us to travel from one place to another very easily and comfortably. Science had done a lot in diagnosing and treating patients. X-ray, CT scan, ECG, Biopsy, various life-saving antibiotics etc are the wonders of modern science. Science gives eyes to the blind, hearing power to the deaf and legs to the lame. By the help of science man has defeated many deadly diseases.

Modern science works just like Aladin’s lamp. Science has invented many things that human brain sometimes fails to imagine. But science is not unmixed blessing. Man has invented many things such as atomic bomb, tanks, deadly weapons which has caused untold miseries to human civilization. So man should use the inventions of science wisely so that they can benefit man.
